Né en 1944 à Reconvillier (Berne), le suisse Georges Schwizgebel est réalisateur de films d'animation et peintre. Avec Claude Luyet et Daniel Suter, il est le co-fondateur du studio GDS
(Carouge) en 1971. Son oeuvre, d'une grande force poétique, a reçu de nombreux prix sur le plan international.
