History
Association constituée le 15 février 1915 à Zürich et régie par l'art. 60 du code civil. Elle est fondée sous le nom de Verband der Interessenten im Kinematographischen Gewerbe der Schweiz - l'Union des Intéressés de la cinématographie en Suisse avec siège à Zürich. Elle regroupe des exploitants de salle de cinéma, au moment où celles-ci commencent à s'ouvrir en Suisse.
En juin 1917, le nom de Schweizerischer Lichtspieltheater-Verband (SLV) est adopté. En 1928, les cinémas romands font scission et fondent l'Association cinématographique Suisse romande (ACSR). L'association se nomme dès lors Schweizerischer Lichtspieltheater-Verband deutsche und italienische Schweiz. En 1988, les associations alémanico-tessinoise et romande fusionnent et fondent le Schweizerischer Kino-Verband (SKV) - Association Cinématographique Suisse (ACS).
